2000 Plymouth Prowler: Sports cars are fun. I picked the Plymouth Prowler because of its unique appearance, and their price, and most especially you don't see them on the road too often at all. In fact, I've never seen one in person until I bought mine. The Prowler is one quick little vehicle too -- Since its frame is aluminum, it's incredibly light, weighing 2700 lbs. The tires on the rear are 20" so peeling rubber isn't so easy, and it goes forward quickly instead. The Prowlers engine is a V6 24 valve with 250 HP. I've added a K&N Air Filter for greater throttle response and air cleaning which brings the horsepower rating up to 259HP. Some people ask me if I think the engine is too small to be a sports car, but once you ride in it, due to its weight, you'll see it can rival most any vehicle on the road. 1/4 mile runs were completed in 15.2 and everything was stock. One unique thing about the Prowler is that they all come in the same configuration except for paint color. All the options are identical, such as the 6 CD changer, dash, etc.. My partner, Tim Tibbetts, owns a Red Prowler, and we both bought them to have the same sports cars. (I bought his Red Prowler in 2001 after he wanted to go the Harley-Davidson VROD way) The only complaint on the Prowler, is that once you get to about 130MPH on the highway the front nose starts to lift up from too much wind. That, and the Prowler is really hard to drive with the top on. Rear visibility is nothing with the top on. Of course, why would you drive with the top up? Down it goes! Modifications I did:
So what's the Price? After shipping and tax, roughly $50,000.00
